Dr. Joseph Curran

Dr. Joe Curran graduated from medicine in UCD in 1986 and completed his General Practice training in Edinburgh in 1992.  Originally from Dublin, he moved to Clonbur and set up Practice there in 1996.  In 2021 he formed a partnership Dr. Louise Freeman in Ballinrobe to form Lakelands Medical Practice.  Dr. Joe has been a GP Trainer with the Western GP Training Programme since 2006. He has a keen interest in musculoskeletal medicine and holds post graduate qualifications in Orthopaedic Medicine, Rheumatology and Dermatology. He is presently undergoing training in point-of-care ultrasound.

Dr. Joe is a keen runner and linguist and has recently welcomed over 200 Ukrainian patients to the area.
