First Health Check Visit
At your first Health Check visit you will see our Practice Nurse for the following investigations.

ï‚· Thyroid Function test

ï‚· Vitamin B12 & folate

ï‚· Iron

ï‚· Ferritin
-
ï‚· Hormone profile – age 50+ (1 st week of cycle)

ï‚· CA 125 (ovarian tumour marker) – age 50+ or family history

ï‚· Prostate specific antigen (PSA) – age 40+

ï‚· Urine analysis

ï‚· Resting ECG (Tracing of your heart)
Second Health Check Visit
​Your second consultation in 2-3 weeks with the doctor will involve:

ï‚· Review, change or renewal of prescriptions

ï‚· Physical examination

ï‚· Pelvic Examination

ï‚· Breast Examination – (if indicated)

ï‚· Cervical Smear (if indicated)

ï‚· Testes Examination – (if indicated)

ï‚· Prostate examination (DRE) – (if indicated)

ï‚· DEXA scan referral (if indicated)
-
ï‚· QRISK (heart disease risk assessment)
-
ï‚· QDiabetes (diabetes risk assessment)
-
ï‚· FRAX (fracture risk assessment)
Fee: €250
€225 - GMS/DVC Card Holders
Any further investigations deemed necessary such as 24-hour BP monitoring will incur a separate charge.
